Uganda has been crowned this year’s Grand Prix and two times gold award winner by the International Tourism Film Festival Africa for its film Explore Uganda – The Pearl of Africa.

On the March 30, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), the government of Uganda’s destination marketing organisation, launched its new destination brand Explore Uganda, The Pearl of Africa, as part of a tourism and media event held at the Sheraton Jumeriah Beach Resort in Dubai.

As the world starts to recover from the effects of the pandemic and opening up borders and skies to global tourism, Uganda, has refreshed its tourism destination brand promise, with the unveiling of a new brand identity that promises both domestic, regional and global tourists, an adventure of a lifetime.

Amidst optimism and rays of hope in reviving the tourism sector, the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) recently officially launched the Sixth Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE 2021) the first-ever virtual tourism expo.

The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) has appointed AVIAREPS as the country’s tourism representative in the Gulf Countries of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
