Nord Stream Race Competitors Race in Massed Fleet at Kiel Week

The winners of five Baltic national sailing leagues will battle each other in June at Nord Stream Race 2018.

The race starts on June 24 in Kiel, North Germany, and finishes in St.Petersburg, Russia, on July 06, visiting Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki, where world famous clubs will welcome the fleet.

On the opening day of Kieler Woche, five ClubSwan 50 racing yachts were part of a massed fleet of 300 boats in the Welcome Race, a 30 nautical mile race from the Kiel Inner Fjord to Eckernförde. The leading Nord Stream Race team was Kongelig Svenska Segelsällskapet finishing in second place overall ahead of Norddeutscher Regatta Verein from Germany which finished third, followed by Finnish Åländska Segelsällskapet in fourth place.
