Eight ASTA advisors, four Enterprise rental cars, four teams and four themed itineraries combined for a fun filled few days the agents will not soon forget. Each two-person team ventured out to explore one of four different itineraries: Luxury, Outdoor Adventurist, Couples and Girlfriend Getaways.
Teams gathered with the Visit Lauderdale Global Trade Development team for dinner each night to present the required photos, videos, selfies, social media posts and tales of their adventures that were scored in the name of friendly competition.
“This was a five-star educational journey that was truly exceptional,” said Nick Pena, Platinum Cruise Planners. “It allowed us to spend time in the destination focused on things we sell that are specific to our client bases, while at the same time learning from the others about their experiences so you still had it all.”
Participants were asked to post about their experiences to the @VisitLauderdale social media channels and present their adventures each evening to the other teams by sharing selfies, destination photos and videos along with stories about their day.
Host hotels were Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach for the Luxury team, Hotel Maren Fort Lauderdale Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton for the Couples team, Hyatt Centric Las Olas for the Girlfriend Getaways team, and Plunge Beach Resort for team Outdoor Adventurists.
