Air Malta’s newest addition to the fleet, a brand new 180-seater Airbus A320neo, recently arrived in Malta.

Air Malta has started the New Year on a high note by being the first airline to land an Airbus A320neo at Florence’s Peretola airport and having the honour of hosting on board the Italian Serie A football team Fiorentina.

Air Malta is scheduled to add two more Airbus A320neo aircraft in summer 2019, as part of its long-term strategy, with eyes on Africa routes and more island bases, according to Charles Mangion, chairman, Air Malta.

Gulf Air revealed its strategy and plans for the future during an event held on February 25.

Iberia will in June become the first airline to fly the improved version of the Airbus A350/900, which, among other advantages, consumes 30 percent less fuel.
