Jordan’s Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed over 620,000 passengers during January this year, the most ever recorded for the month.

Airport International Group celebrated the arrival of Fly Baghdad’s first flight to Queen Alia International Airport, marking the start of four weekly flights between Amman and Bagdad.

Queen Alia International Airport registered a growth in its number of passengers as it welcomed 599,683 passengers in October this year, resulting in a 12.6 percent year-on-year leap in comparison to the same month of 2016.

In the first half of the year (H1), Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 3,609,875 passengers, registering a 5.4 percent year-to-date increase over H1 2016.

According to Airport International Group, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 1,671,784 passengers in the first quarter (Q1) of the year, climbing two percent compared to the corresponding period in 2016.
