The newly renovated Delta Sky Club at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is officially open with an additional 167 m2 of space for guests to enjoy and featuring fresh fare from chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley.

Delta Air Lines’ Sky Club members can now use their fingerprints to enter all 50 of its US locations from March 26 with the launch of Delta Biometrics Powered by CLEAR, a technology that speeds passengers through the long line for ID checks, and guides them to the screening line.

Delta Air Lines has launched the first phase of testing a biometric boarding pass experience at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, which enables Delta SkyMiles members enrolled in CLEAR to prove their identity at the Delta Sky Club with fingertips.

Without any printed documents, the second stage of the programme will allow the eligible passengers to check a bag, check-in and board the flight.

After analysing the outcomes of the testing period, the carrier intends to identify necessary improvements and broader implementation.

Expressing the company’s excitement to pioneer such customer experience, Gil West, chief operating officer, Delta Air Lines, said, “We are rapidly moving towards a day when your fingerprint, iris or face will become the only ID you will need […].”
