Chris Nassetta, CEO, Hilton, announced the company is on track to open more luxury properties this year than in any previous year of its 100-year history.

This year Hilton celebrates its 100th anniversary. Over the last century, Hilton has grown from a single hotel in Cisco, Texas, to nearly 5,500 hotels and 14 brands in 106 countries. This leading hospitality brand has hosted more than 3 billion guests since 1919.

As part of their global partnership, Aston Martin Lagonda and Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, by Hilton, for the first time took part in dual-branded activations for the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton’s globally recognised upscale hotel brand, is celebrating strong growth in Africa with four open properties and an additional 14 in the pipeline just three years after opening its first hotel on the continent in 2016.

Set on a pristine beach, Hilton Tangier Al Houara Resort & Spa opened its doors marking Hilton’s third property in Morocco.

Hampton by Hilton, the largest brand in the Hilton portfolio, continues to lead the way in the upper-midscale segment, closing out the fourth quarter of 2018 with dozens of new openings around the world and the largest pipeline in brand history.

Hilton has signed a deal with Wessal Capital, a Moroccan investment fund which finances tourism and real estate projects, for an investment into the 150-room Hilton Rabat, to form part of the city’s Wessal Bouregreg project.

Hilton has expanded its Egypt portfolio with the opening of Hilton Cairo Heliopolis, while also confirming plans to debut its luxury Waldorf Astoria brand in the country, and Africa, later this year.

Hilton Lake Como opened its doors on January 11, marking Hilton’s first property in the region.

Hilton Fuzhou has now deputed, occupying levels one, four and 39-55 of Sandi Lianbang Building, conveniently located in the Jiangbin region.
