American Airlines and Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) officially broke ground on a USD1.6 billion modernisation project to fully reimagine Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Terminals 4 and 5. The project marks American’s largest individual investment at an airport in its 92-year history and reaffirms the airline’s commitment to Los Angeles.

In honor of National Volunteer Recognition Week, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) proudly recognised the many volunteers and team members who regularly give back to the local community and serve the guests and staff at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport. These volunteers include greeters, help desk staff, and Pets Unstressing Passengers programme.

American Airlines has confirmed its intention to continue investing at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), with estimated USD1.6 billion to be distributed over the next 15 years.
