Dubai Welcomes Record Overnight Arrivals – Dubai Tourism

Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) announced that a total of 15.8 million overnight visitors visited the emirate in 2017, setting a new record.

This resulted in a 6.2 percent year-on-year increase. The latest results show that the five percent growth witnessed in 2016 has accelerated, propelling the emirate’s momentum towards its 2020 goal of welcoming 20 million visitors per year by the start of the next decade.

H.E. Helal Saeed Almarri, director general, Dubai Tourism, commented, “[...] Dubai’s travel and tourism sector is [...] geared to accelerate its appeal to the diverse and evolving needs of our global travellers.”
