GCC tourist numbers are anticipated to climb in 2019 with new five-star hotels opening. The islands are undergoing rapid development and tourists from the GCC region are expected to consider Antigua and Barbuda as an attractive destination. The twin islands, with 365 sandy beaches to choose from and clear water, is reporting significant growth in tourists so far this year, with a more than seven percent increase compared to the first half of 2017.
Charles Fernandez, minister, tourism and investment, Antigua and Barbuda, said, “We are looking forward to more tourists from the GCC region visiting the islands.”
