Queen Alia Airport Reports Passenger Growth for July

According to statistics released by Airport International Group, Jordan’s Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 918,207 passengers (PAX) in July, as opposed to 868,614 in the same month in 2017.

The passenger increase marked a significant increase of 5.7 percent and setting an unprecedented record for previous July results. During the same period, aircraft movement (ACM) figures also rose by 6.3 percent, with handled cargo witnessing a decrease of 11.8 percent.

Throughout the first seven months of this year, QAIA received a total of 4,802,725 passengers, registering a 7.2 percent rise in year-to-date (YTD) PAX numbers compared to the same period in 2017. As for ACM and cargo YTD figures, QAIA marked a two percent growth and a 0.6 percent drop to come in at 44,063 movements and 145,732 tonnes respectively.
