Hailed  the region’s most popular retail event, this year’s Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), which kicked off on July 01 and will run until August 12, is generating improved sales and footfall at malls across the emirate.

Mercato Shopping Mall has so far registered a 20 percent increase in footfall and around 15-20 percent rise in sales during the first half of DSS, compared to 2016.

Commenting on the event’s success, Saeed Mohammad Measam Al Falasi, executive director, retail and strategic alliances, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, disclosed, “[…] The improved market performance during the first half of DSS is also the result of our close collaboration with various government and private sector entities, especially the continued support of our strategic partners.”
