QTA Launched Representation Offices in China

In order to further tap into the growing outbound Chinese market, Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) collaborated with PHG Consulting to inaugurate representative offices in China, with headquarters in Beijing and supporting locations in Shanghai and Guangzhou.

The launch coincides with Qatar being officially awarded Approved Destination Status, allowing it to receive tourists from China and promote the destination in the Asian country.

Rashed AlQurese, chief marketing and promotion officer, QTA, said, “Our on-the-ground presence in China will enable us to actively promote Qatar to Chinese consumers, and develop relationships with members of the Chinese travel trade who will sell Qatar as a destination.”
