Visitor Growth Solidifies Dubai’s Commitment to China

Ahead of the arrival of Xi Jinping, president, China in the UAE, Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) reported continued growth in visitors from China.

With a robust growth of 119 percent in overnight Chinese visitors since 2014 and a year-on-year increase of 41.4 percent overnight Chinese visitors to Dubai from 2016 to 2017 Dubai Tourism has reconfirmed its continued focus on its fourth top source market.

This focus has also been promoted by a number of key agreements signed with major players in China.

Now considered one of Dubai’s fastest growing source markets, China closed the first five months of this year with a record 400,547 visitors with this growth is predicted to continue throughout the year.
