RAKTDA Helps Groom Propose on World’s Longest Zipline

A groom-to-be proved his love by becoming the first person ever to propose on what is hailed as the world’s longest zipline in Ras Al Khaimah.

Adrian Mackay, from Bengaluru in India, showed that love really does lift us up by popping the question to his bride- to-be as she came in to land on the suspended platform high up on Jebel Jais, the UAE’s tallest mountain. The adrenaline-fuelled proposal was supported by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and Toro Verde UAE who arranged for a Will you marry me? banner to be unveiled as Mackay got down on one knee 80 m above the mountain floor.

“From the beautiful drive to Ras Al Khaimah to the stunning views in the Jais Mountains and the zipline itself, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” expressed Mackay.
